Thai Traditional Massage

Traditional Thai Massage is over 2,500 years old and can be traced back to India during Buddha’s lifetime,  it was used for rejuvenating both mind and body in conjunction with meditation and herbs.

As we grow older we all stiffen up a little and this can cause problems such as poor circulation and muscle pain, quickly leading to stress. The human body was never designed to be sat in front of a computer or sitting for hours on end behind the wheel of a car! Thai Massage uses a range of techniques which include hands feet and elbows to apply pressure to the sen (energy lines) in the body to unblock trapped energy and encourage the body’s own natural forces to flow easily and free tensions. Gentle muscle stretching will increase flexibility and improve circulation, posture, joint mobility, energy levels and also sleep patterns.

Traditional Thai Massage is often carried out on a floor mat or a specially designed massage bed. The massage session usually starts with the feet and continues working up the body. Carried out correctly, traditional Thai Massage will give the whole body an active workout and leave you feeling more relaxed, calmer and more flexible.
